PLASMA METAL CUTTING Plasma cutting uses plasma gas heated to 25,000°C to melt metal at a specific point. Inert gases under high pressure then expel the molten metal. This method cuts steel, aluminum, copper, and other conductive materials efficiently.
Compressed gas (nitrogen, argon, or compressed air) flows through a nozzle. An electric arc between the electrode and material converts gas to plasma. The hot plasma jet melts the metal; high-pressure gas blows away molten material. Result: Clean cuts with minimal deformation. How does the process work?
